my thought here is in the model you can create a design table and let
it auto-populate it with data from the model (2007 function). this
data will be in Excel table which you can sort through and copy and
paste out of it. iQ

There is another way:

-Create a custom property for the dimension(s) you want to export
-in the value/text expression field place the property of the dimension you
want, it will look something like this: "***@Annotations@M01-AE-020.Part"
(don't forget the quotations)
where the ***@Annotations is the name of the dimension you want, obtained
from the more properties dialog of the dimension property. And the
@M01-AE-020.Part is the file name.
-once you have them all done create a custom table on a drawing that calls
in all the values and do a save as CSV and import into excel.

For instance you could use the properties length, width, thickness to
generate a sum of all the lengths of angle in a project. You may also want
to add the quantity property in case there is more than one of an item then
manipulate you spreed sheet to multiply the length by the quantity to give a
sub total.

Hope this gives you an idea.
